SignLink April/May 2025 - Issue 258

EVENT SPOTLIGHT 35 Issue 258 - April / May 2025 email: editor@signlink.co.uk From May 6th to 9th, 2025, European Sign Expo will return to the Messe Berlin, Germany at Halls 3.2 and Hall 4.2. Preparations are well underway, and I am delighted to welcome back a host of visionaries from across the signage industry. The event will showcase cutting-edge products and solutions, and a wealth of expertise across signage and visual communications. Year on year, European Sign Expo invites visitors to learn about current and future industry trends, discover an array of new media, consumables, products and technologies, network with specialists from across the globe, and more. I am confident that visitors will leave this year’s event with insight on how they commercially leverage opportunities in the signage and visual communications industries, as well as understand the factors that are shaping the future of signage. Where Visionaries Meet This year’s strapline, ‘Where Visionaries Meet’, applies to all three of our events (European Sign Expo and co-located FESPA Global Print Expo and Personalisation Experience), and places emphasis on the FESPA community. The strapline positions visitors and exhibitors alike as futuristic and forward-thinking members of the signage community, and our events, as the ideal connection point for these visionaries. For our visitors, this means that they will gain valuable insight into what the future holds for the industry. Complete automation of the latest technologies? Materials that are completely recyclable? As delegates exchange their thoughts and business requirements with leading brands and suppliers, industry experts and specialists, FESPA will support the development of the forward-facing vision of the signage industry. Exhibitor Programme We are delighted to already have over 100 exhibitors confirmed for the 2025 event, including Textile Frame Partner, EFKA, Domino Sign, Sign-Ware, NSE LED, Cosign, TPS, ABC Display, Reklamba, and X-Module. Our exhibitors will showcase multiple innovations across channel lettering, digital signage, dimensional signage, engraving and etching, illuminated displays, out-of-home (OOH) media, LED and sign tools, and more. There is truly something for everyone at European Sign Expo. Trends We always expect different trends to surface at our events. In recent years, we have seen increased demand for integration, digitisation, and interactivity. In addition, a trend pertinent across all of our events is sustainability. After significant advancements in technology and software, digital signage has become an effective advertising tool for many businesses. With the ability to shift away from simple imagery and integrate more eye-catching designs, we have seen the strategy being embraced universally by numerous companies in a variety of fields. Once you’ve caught the consumers' attention, however, the next challenge is European Sign Expo 2025 – A Guide for Visionaries in Signage and Visual Communications Michael Ryan, head of FESPA Global Print Expo, writes about this year’s FESPA event in Berlin, which includes the co-locating European Sign Expo ▲ The Expo will include LED and Wayfinding Signage solutions ◄ Michael Ryan, head of FESPA Global Print Expo
