Seamless Automation What is obvious to even the most casual of observers is the level of automation designed into the iSaddle SENSHI. This is the key to the high level of quality and production levels possible. Whether there is just one size change or a complete reconfiguration of the upcoming product, the machine uses the fully integrated make-ready system to take care of every little aspect. As described before, the number of jobs that can be stored are only limited to the disk space on your server and at the press of a button the machine will swiftly and accurately move and adjust to the next job. This automation is what again underpins the SENSHI name given to this latest Duplo stitching machine. Whether you have short or long runs planned, the strength and ability traditionally found in the characteristics of a Japanese warrior are the back bone of this new machine. upside is you can complete continuous production as you can load one section of the tower whilst the other is in production and then, without a break, the switch over takes place allowing the exhausted section to be replenished. A size or format change can be accomplished by scanning the barcode which you can append to the job pack, route card, or sample product. Once this has been scanned, all in synchronisation, the collator, stitching head, and trimmer will all move the relevant positions without any intervention from the operator. This has a number of advantages. The operator can carry on with tasks such as material preparation, but more importantly the precise positioning of each of the parts of the next configuration will reduce the likelihood of there being an issue with the product. This precision will not only allow for a quick turnaround between each job but will also allow an almost waste-free start up into the next job. Do not worry about the number of jobs you may want to produce, the memory on the PC can hold almost an infinite number with capacity being limited only by the PC the operating system resides on. Collated Then Stitched There is a sheet-by-sheet air kit which can assist with the cover application on the iSaddle SENSHI and if you require it, the machine can be linked via a network making the transfer of data and information as seamless as the job changing on the machine itself. Once collated, the sheets on whichever size selected pass through Duplo’s DBMS-S5 saddle stitcher. This has two Hohner 43/6S heads collating the sheets into a booklet. You can upgrade the Hohner stitching heads from two to three or four flat or loop versions and a six-page cover insert kit. To ensure the booklet looks its best and the production is quicker and more effective, the iSaddle SENSHI has a number of tricks up its sleeve. The key way to ensure a flatter product is to score prior to folding and the DBMS-S5 saddle stitcher has a feature integrated into it so the critical aspect of the process is all accomplished seamlessly. If for any reason the product has not been correctly collated or stitched, there is
