ColorStream 8000 series of high-speed, web-fed inkjet presses, the ColorStream 8200 press. Taking up 4,600sq m of space, the centre of Canon’s stand and hosted hospitality space will feature ‘The Core’. This will provide an immersive, multi-sensory exploration of print’s emotional impact. Duplo – Hall 6, Booth A31 – A31-2 / Hall 17, Booth A01-2 Duplo will be showcasing four key areas: Getting Started, Working Smarter, New Revenue Streams, and the Connectivity Hub. For Getting Started, the company will showcase its entry-level machines and how using modular systems, automation, and integration can help printers to grow. To demonstrate ‘Working Smarter’, Duplo will utilise automation and its higher-end equipment ranges for high volume and commercial print. Thirdly, for New Revenue Streams, Duplo will show how embellishment and packaging can create new profit streams by adding value to printed products. And finally, within the Connectivity Hub, Duplo will show a new range of integration and software-related products for increased efficiency within print production. There have been a number of releases from Duplo recently including the DBM-700 booklet system, the DC-F100 integrated folder for the DC-618 and DC-648 slitter, cutter, and creaser machines in November. Esko, X-Rite, Pantone, and Enfocus – Hall 8B, Booth A12 Esko, X-Rite, Pantone, and Enfocus will be co-exhibiting at drupa 2024 to demonstrate how integrated software and hardware can propel packaging printing forward. Esko will demonstrate packaging software solutions, X-Rite will demonstrate colour accuracy, Pantone will represent colour solutions, and Enfocus automation. The co-location will take place at the Touchpoint Packaging forum and will feature the Esko Store Visualizer, showcasing an Esko virtial store. Enfocus will feature the latest version of its wide-format package including the 24.03 update of Pitstop Pro for PDF proofing and automated nesting tool, Griffin. These two solutions now work together under one unified wide-format printing workflow. The company will also be showcasing its browser-based proofing solution, Review, as well as its popular all-in-one automation system, Switch. EyeC – Hall 3, Booth A101 In addition to demonstrating live its solutions on its booth, EyeC will be presenting sustainable solutions at the Touchpoint Sustainability forum headed by the VDMA printing and paper technology association. Highlights on EyeC’s stand will be live demonstrations of the EyeC ProofRunner Carton HighLight inline inspection system. This system will be demonstrated on a Kohmann folding carton gluing machine. Another highlight will be the showcase of the EyeC ProofRunner Web on the ‘Bobcat S’ rewinder from French machine supplier DCM. New options for the entire EyeC ProofRunner line will also be demonstrated for the first time, highlighting the power of AI-based defect classification. EyeC will also show its scanner-based EyeC Proofiler DT line with scan formats up to 4 x 3ft. Fujifilm – Hall 8B, Booth A01 – A02-6 Utilising the theme ‘Discover the Difference’, Fujifilm’s stand will be segmented into two areas: Commercial and Industrial. In the Commercial area, Fujifilm will show the Jet Press 750S; the Revoria Press GC12500; the Jet Press 1160CFG full colour high-speed continuous feed inkjet printing press which will be exhibited for the first time; and new process-less plates for offset printing and DX solutions for automation and streamlining with workflow software. Within the Industrial area, the Jet Press FP790 water-based inkjet digital press will be demonstrated as well as new automation options for Fujifilm’s hybrid wide-format machine in the form of a robotic unit, and the award-winning Acuity range of wide-format printers. A new ink technology called ‘Aquafuze’ will be launched which is a water-based ink that promises the functionalities of UV and solvent inks. Another innovation on show will be the RxD Series pigment dispersion that supports ink formulation designs that meet the increasing need for faster inkjet systems and wider substrate compatibility. GEW – Hall 16, Booth E01 UK curing systems manufacturer, GEW, will launch a new UV LED system at drupa 2024 alongside showcasing its full product range. According to the company, its focus at the exhibition will be on its latest LED systems for sheetfed offset and industrial printing. GEW will also show its ArcLED technology which enables UV arc and UV LED lampheads to be quickly interchanged on a press. For this, Arc and LED cassettes are compatible with the same power supply and GEW’s RHINO power control system automatically recognises the lamp type and switches the power supply accordingly. Harris & Bruno International Hall 16, Booth D03 Global provider of coating solutions, Harris & Bruno International, will unveil its new digital embellishment machine. The ZRX joins analog flood coating with digital spot coating and foil and enables printers to use digital embellishment on uncoated and unlaminated substrates. Harris & Bruno International will be providing live demonstrations of the ZRX on its booth with visitors able to take away samples and ask the team any questions. As well as launching the new ZRX, Harris & Bruno International will be celebrating its 75th anniversary at drupa.
