34 email: news@printmonthly.co.uk May / June 2024 - Issue 348 Industry members hot-to-trot at Hospitality Day Braving the great British weather, 30 attendees including large manufacturers, resellers, trade printers, and paper merchants, flocked to Cheltenham Racecourse on Thursday 14th March for The Print Show’s first Hospitality Day of 2024. Some guests enjoyed more success than others but the real reward of the day was the chance to network and mingle with new and existing industry contacts in a relaxed environment. “Like any event, it’s getting people there which is the toughest challenge and thankfully all 30 of our guests arrived,” joked Chris Davies, event director of The Print Show, adding: “The day was very well received, and everyone had a fantastic day out.” “A few of the lucky ones even picked a couple of winners, sadly that wasn’t the case for me. Many of our guests commented on how great it was to catch up with other industry professionals, some they had never met or not seen for ages.” Following the event, guests took to LinkedIn to share their enjoyment and to thank The Print Show for its hospitality. Sam Cawthorne, marketing communications lead at Kyocera Document Solutions, commented: “Thank you for a wonderful day. Definitely getting a Fedora next time. Lovely to meet everyone.” Chris Matthews, head of digital press solutions at Fujifilm Graphic Communications, also commented: “Thanks for a great day at the races! It was good spending time with the Print Show team and all of your guests.” Echoing these comments, Andrew Simmons, director of product development at Soyang Europe, added: “Thank you for a great day. Good to catch up. Very enjoyable.” Following the success of Cheltenham, The Print Show is preparing to host more events throughout the year. The next event is scheduled for June with more information coming soon.
