First European showings of Ricoh technology Ricoh has highlighted the range of technologies it will demonstrate at FESPA Global Print Expo 2024. The manufacturer will host the global launch of an industrial direct-to-film solution using Ricoh Pro DTF ink and a new powder shaker technology. The company will also demonstrate the first “compact-footprinted” hybrid printer to be based on Flora digital technology. In addition to this, a number of technologies will receive their first European showings including the Ri 4000 Direct to Garment (DTG) printer which features enhancer (pre-treatment) liquid and ink. Also on show will be the Ri 1000X DTG printer which features two new printing modes for better results and faster speed. A newly added media type setting for image adjustment parameters enables switching between white and dark garment settings. Ricoh will also be doing live demonstrations of its roll-toroll RICOH Pro L5160e Latex extended gamut system and the RICOH Pro TF6251 UV flatbed printer plus rollto-roll. Both printers have fast-drying Greenguard-certified inks. Ricoh’s Pro TF6251 UV flatbed printer with roll-to-roll will be shown in Europe for the first time at FESPA Sustainable viscom solutions from Antalis Antalis will use its presence at FESPA 2024 (Stand H60 in Hall 5) to present its sustainable visual communication solutions as well as to highlight its ‘Wrap and Remix by antalis’ vehicle wrapping product competition. Included on the company’s stand will be the latest advances in its Coala range including its new, higher-performing Coala Magforce range of magnetic products and new additions to the Coala Folio vinyl category. Antalis will also showcase a selection of self-adhesive films in sheet and reel format designed for UV screen and offset printing. The supplier will also be hosting twice-daily vehicle wrapping demos on a 1965 Ford Mustang 350GT Shelby clone using brands such as Avery, Arlon, 3M, Orafol, and MacTac. This car is one of the prizes on offer in the ‘Wrap and Remix by antalis’ challenge. This challenge gives participants who order eligible car wrapping vinyl from Antalis’ range between February 1st and June 30th, 2024 the chance to win one of 100 prizes. Antalis will be presenting the latest advances in its Coala range at FESPA Global Print Expo SwissQprint to showcase flatbed and roll-to-roll kit SwissQprint will use its presence at FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 to demonstrate its range of flatbed and rollto-roll printers. Built for 24/7 operation, swissQprint machines are described as workhorses and function over a service life of over ten years. At FESPA 2024, swissQprint will demo two machines in particular: the Kudu and the Karibu. The Kudu is the latest high-end flatbed printer which delivers high quality even at its fastest speed of 304m2 per hour. The machine has ten colour channels and offers a roll-toroll option for media up to 3.2m wide. The Karibu is swissQprint’s dedicated roll-to-roll printer that can print white and varnish for backlit applications as well as creating textures and embellishments. Like the manufacturer’s flatbed options, the Karibu features patented Tip Switch Vacuum. Another feature of swissQprint’s presence at FESPA this year will be how its neon inks can be used to produce highly creative projects with the manufacturer describing these inks as “currently all the rage”. swissQprint will be demonstrating both its flatbed and roll-to-roll technologies at FESPA Supplier of sustainable wood fibre products, Sappi, will demonstrate a selection of its high-quality papers at FESPA 2024 (Stand A72, Hall 1). Included in the company’s offering will be sublimation papers for transfer printing and self-adhesive label and release liners for self-adhesive applications. Last year, Sappi invested in two new paper converting machines alongside a new and fully automated packaging line specifically for dye-sublimation papers at its Carmignano plant in Italy. Sappi to demo highquality paper range Vanguard Europe partners with Pixia Vanguard Europe has revealed it will share a booth with its strategic partner Pixia BV at FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 (Stand B10, Hall 2). The two companies will partner to unveil the latest news covering products, software and service, and installations and will be showing both flatbed and rollto-roll solutions. A subsidiary of Vanguard Digital Printing Systems Corp was set up in late 2021 to replicate the sales success of its parent company which has installed over a thousand large-format printing systems in the Americas. Neschen will be presenting its graphic portfolio including its full range of PVC-free media at the FESPA Global Print Expo 2024 (Stand A10, Hall 10). The company will highlight how it has continued to set standards as the inventor of the ‘easy dot’ technology and its sustainable solutions will also be a core focus at the exhibition. Visitors to the stand will be able to experience live demonstrations of laminators including the EcoLam 1650 and the introduction of the brand new ColdLam 1650 SW which was successfully launched at the end of January.
