The company, which is based in Clevedon, services both national and international clients and offers precision engraving and processing of metal and plastic components using stateof-the-art machinery. Housed in a modern and expanded facility, Brunel Engraving Company is made of three distinct arms: medical, hospitality, and corporate sector clients. Brunel Trophies oversees corporate trophies and awards, and Brunel Industrial Engraving services clients in aerospace, telecommunications, renewable energy, and more. Brunel Engraving offers diverse engraving options from computerised rotary engraving to chemical etching and digital print to laser cutting and engraving. In recent years, the company has invested £300K, increasing its engraving capacity by four times, enabling it to keep up with demand and service more complicated jobs. The company’s name was inspired by the legacy of Bristol engineer and designer of the historic Clifton Suspension Bridge, Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Brunel Engraving is now building its own legacy and holds ISO 9001 accreditation demonstrating its commitment to good customer service, efficiency, and best practices. The grand opening also acted as an opportunity to unveil the new Q-Line with BHS180, designed for industrial pallet-to-pallet production and tailored to the requirements of highly automated, industrial finishing in the digital production of displays and printed packaging. Attendees to the opening got to experience a live product demonstration of the system and engage in interactive Q&A sessions. The BHS180 will have its trade show premiere at drupa 2024 along with robotic solutions like the Robot PortaTable 130. Oliver Zünd, global chief executive officer at Zünd Systemtechnik AG, says: “The decision to purchase a new, larger building to create an innovative space for digital cutting systems and to serve as the new home for Zund UK underlines the importance of the UK market to Zünd.” The day also included demonstrations from Zünd Generation 3 technology and presentations highlighting the advancements in G3, S3, and D3 cutting capabilities. The investment has included the doubling in size of the business premises as well as the installation of new cutting equipment. CIM Signs & Graphics is described as a regional supplier of vehicle graphics & wraps, printed exhibition displays, wall graphics, retail signage, illuminated signage, window graphics and POS signage. The company, which has over 24 years of experience in the industry, is planning to further develop its range of sustainable print options with the new equipment as well as plans to double its operations. CIM Signs & Graphics grows with £1m investment [L to R] CIM managing director, Mark Baker, and senior team manager, Tony Burch Firstlite launches new training programme Firstlite LED Systems, a supplier of LED modules to the UK signage industry, launched its customer training programme with an open day in April in Gateshead, Tyne & Wear. The training programme has been created to take place in Firstlite’s dedicated training centre where industry professionals can gain specialised skills when selecting, fitting, and maintaining Firstlite LED products. Customers who undertake the training programme will receive industry-recognised certification as well as the confidence and practical skills needed with LED products. Megan Woodcock, managing director of Firstlite LED, says: "We have designed our training programmes to help customers learn much more than just the basics; we get them hands-on so they can understand every detail of installing and maintaining all types of LED modules. We are here to ensure our partners and customers stay on top with the latest techniques and tech knowhow." The training days have been developed to ensure customers understand the latest advancements in LED technology while also minimising the chance of installation errors and increasing the likelihood of a longer lifespan for the products.
