Put literally, training is a process of increasing the knowledge and skills relating to a particular job. Training can include product updates, goals to improve capability, productivity and performance, and can enhance positive general work behaviour. Everyone at every level can benefit from training, be it a one-off session or as part of an ongoing education programme; when we stop learning, we stop growing! Why doesn’t everyone do it? Misconceptions! Training is only for those who are new to the industry and require an introduction and understanding of the fundamental elements of sign and print – False! Training is beneficial for those who need an update or reminder of facts and processes, a refresher course for example, and is also applicable to those with experience in the industry – Fact! Another common misconception is that training is just for small businesses who are not as established or have fewer resources; however, more and more large Sign and Print companies are adopting company-wide training, for staff at all levels – Fact!
