The deal means that Dyne Testing is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Intertronics, which aligns with Intertronics’ existing business. Dyne Testing offers a range of measurement equipment for testing surface energy and tension, surface cleanliness, adhesion, and coating thickness in order to improve industrial processes and quality. Intertronics already supplies surface treatment technologies that alter the energy of a substrate and remove contaminants to improve adhesion, meaning the purchase was a logical acquisition for Intertronics. Peter Swanson, managing director of Intertronics, says: “Most of our customers are interested in adhesion and/ or cleanliness, so it is not surprising that Intertronics shares around 75% of Dyne Testing’s customer base.” Over time all operations will be moved from Dyne Testing to Intertronics’ site in Kiglington, Oxfordshire.
